Archival Management System or AMS is a multi-functional tool that aids in the management of the digital assets. It is mainly used for projects that involve multiple organizations or units. LSUS has integrated the Archives Management System as a way to promote its rich history, as a part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations. LSUS has implemented the new and advanced Eloquent Archives system that is mobile friendly. Visitors can now access the archives database on the timeline within minutes and use it for research purpose or simply to know about the rich history of the university.
Researchers and alumni associated with the university will be able to access the 50 years old rich history of the university with just their mobile devices. They just need to scroll down the timeline to be able to access the sea of information including textual documents, historical data, and photographs.
Established in 1967, LSUS is the only public University in Shreveport. The Institute serves over 4,700 regular students and 11,000 non-credit students every year. The University has been awarding bachelor’s degrees since 1975, and it offers more than 13 graduate programs. In 2018, the University will be celebrating 50 years anniversary and to make the occasion more special and preserve the memories, LSUS has implemented the Eloquent Archives system.
